MSCAR is a GMS, S.G.P.S., S.A.(Grupo Marques da Silva)company, that represents 16 autobrands in Algarve – Alfa Romeo,Abarth, Fiat, Fiat profissional, Lancia, Iveco, Isuzu, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Kia, Honda, Seat, Suzuki, Saab and Chevrolet.

MSCAR emerged on 1st April 2005, resulting from the joint venture of Fialgar, Farpor, Formulasul and Nipomotor, these companies have been operating in Algarve for more than 30 years.
At the beginning of the year 2002, the Group Marques da Silva bought 50%of the Group Farauto. In October 2007, bought the other 50%.

Farauto, nowadays, has the representation in Algarve of Opel.

So, the holding represents, through MSCAR and Farauto, the total of 17 autobrands in Algarve.

The centralization of the car business was the beginning of a company restructuring’s strategy, having in view the adequacy to the new economic reality of the car sector and the future’s challenge.
